ISAAC AUTRY

Isaac was found living in his father's household in 1870. In 1880 he was found to be a logger and living in his own home in the McDaniels Township in Sampson County with his wife and children. By 1900 Isaac and his family were found living in the Geddies Gin Township (areas of present-day Eastover) in Cumberland County, NC.

In 1910 and 1920 Isaac was found living in the township of Mars Hill (Flea Hill) Cumberland County NC. The areas of early 1900's Mars Hill and Flea Hill are also synonymous with present day Eastover and Wade Cumberland County NC.

Matilda must have died by 1920 because Isaac was found living with a new wife named Margarette. His home at the time consisted of his wife, his youngest daughter Fannie who was 19 at the time.

I found Isaac again in 1900 living in the township of Geddies Gin (areas of present-day Eastover) in Cumberland County NC. Here is an unusually large map that shows some of these areas of Cumberland County.

Isaac's daughter Dora(h) was born in 1880. In 1910 she was found married to and living with William Boykin. The following are the descendants of Dora and William.

I have found that Ned Edward, his son Isaac and Isaac's sons Mathew, John and Ned Edward's Autry descendants are still very plentiful in the Cedar Creek and Eastover areas of Cumberland County and some like their cousin's the Boykins of present day Longview still recognizes their cousins, the Autrys of Bladen County NC.
